That was commonly done with old English 2-cylinder motorcycles. Both cylind=
ers fired on every stroke, didn't matter that one was exhausting at that po=
int while the other was on the compression stroke.

The wires from the coil then use the 'centre tap' of the two spark plugs as=
 a virtual ground, which also helps to make the insulation for the HV wires=
 easier. As there is less voltage to the bulk metal (in the form of the eng=
ine block).
