Dear listers,


My ICD3 is dead, it doesn't recognize the PIC when connected to the
target boards. The test using the supplied dongle fails also.

Once I read somewhere that Microchip has a lifetime replacement policy
for development tools. I searched Microchip's site and didn't find
anything about it.
I will open a ticket in their support page, but last time I did so it
took three months until somebody replied just to ask if I still needed
support :)

Does anybody know if this policy is still active?


I found the schematic on the Internet, but the circuit is complex and it
could take a lot of time (which I don't have) to find the problem. For
now I'm using my PICKIT3, but it is very slow.
