Hi Gus, I don't know if it could be counterfeit, but I have had experience with=20 not properly mounting similar SSR devices (during repairs and testing)=20 and the outcome has been death to the SSR, on 240VAC 10A loads, in=20 commercial equipment. Proper mounting and correct thermal transfer to the heatsink is also=20 important, - that's what I have found over the years. Even using old thermal paste is a bad idea. It's best to use a new heatsink pad or new thermal paste to ensure heat=20 is correctly dissipated and controlled. Hopefully no other damage was caused.
