Microchip have recently (about a week ago) published an app note about usin= g a PIC24 as a Class D audio amplifier (see the 'documentation' link on the= ir home page). I haven't read it yet, so can't talk about its abilities and= facilities. Also Olin had a Halloween project as an addendum to his PIC development env= ironment. That could probably be adapted to something like this. He had a p= rogram that manipulated a *.wav file so it could be loaded into ROM, and th= en did a PWM output to produce the sound IIRC. >=20 > Hi all, >=20 > Considering building a little sound making toy as a gag gift for a friend= , and > looking for opinions on what best to use.
