Hi Josh, I tested it and it has one pin that plays the whole sound, PLAYE and it won't retrigger. The other play pin, PLAYL, plays only as long as it's held high. Just hooking a toggle switch to it I was able to do what you wanted. So you could probably make something work there. It works from under 3 volts to 5.5V.
