Hi all,

Considering building a little sound making toy as a gag gift for a
friend, and looking for opinions on what best to use. Ideally
controllable via PIC, could be contact closure, could be serial if
needed.

What I need it to do is be able to retrigger quickly. For instance, if
the sample I put on it was "Check it out", I want to be able to hit a
button and have it go "Ch-Ch-Check it out".

Sparkfun has this module: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11125
But I haven't heard yet if it can retrigger. Perhaps if I'm using a
PIC I can issue a stop and then a play command in quick succession to
retrigger.
