In my archives (starting mid 2002), year 2003 was the peak at 37K=20 messages, then 33K, 31K, 28,26,24,16,15.5,14,6.9,5.6 for 2013. I may of=20 course have some missing but the serious drop in volume is=20 unmistakeable. Probably will have 5.5K for 2014. I attribute it to (mainly) the availability and quality (both UI and=20 content) of web forums, which were nearly nonexistent 10 years ago -=20 personally I prefer mailing lists but I'm middle aged. Secondly most=20 newbies start with Atmel now. I frankly don't miss Olin I have to admit. Thanks for the stack exchange tip.
