Anyone who thinks they aren't racist is simply unaware. We are all racist, it's all a matter of degree. When I lived in Vermont I noticed a percentage of people who felt that Canadians were inferior humans. I know people who think the same of Jews. To them it's a "fact" and they don't think they are racist (or xenophobic, or whatever you want to call it). I'm sure you see plenty of that directed towards Mexicans where you are.
