Hi All, We are using the FTDI chip FT230X in a new product (about to be released) and are having difficulties with it. I wonder if anyone else is using this chip and has had similar difficulties. The problems present as follows.: 1. Failure to enumerate on the USB system. I have found however that chilling the chips with freeze spray gets them working again, and once working they tend to stay working until the next restart. 2. Corrupt configuration. Sometimes fixed by reprogramming (once enumerated) using the FTDI utility. 3. Low output on one of the programmable output C-bus lines. This should have a high level of 3.2V, but sits at 0.8V. Freezing the chip has also fixed this in one test case. The fault rate for these chips appear to be about 20 - 30% . All voltages and reset controls are with datasheet requirements. Chips are beleived to be genuine FTDI. So - has anyone had similar issues, or ideas as to what the problem could be other than faulty chips?
