Getting into someone else's car in an area where thefts have occurred at th= e very least he would have a few questions to answer. Video evidence would= be the clincher, especially depending on body language. Just the act of e= ntering someone else's property is enough to warrant arrest in some locales= .. If the doors were locked, making him do a little "work" to get inside wo= uld earn the parties involved a felony breaking and entering. An investiga= tion will turn up his "honey pot" and blow the lid on the whole operation. = If you are brave and insert a tracking device and allow him to drive off, = it would also reveal where the cars are being taken.
