A is another device that is not mine, and that I have to access to=20 figure out. I have to treat it as a black box. B and C I have access=20 to. The RS232 link between A and C is just 2 wires. We did have some=20 noise issues there when the person with the truck significantly=20 lengthened the wires (from approx 2ft to 13 ft), and swapping to=20 shielded wires resolved that. They are adamant that they can't relocate=20 and shorten things. The power conditioning should not be cleaning up the ground side=20 though. What would be a good way to correct that if necessary? I would=20 think that tying all grounds to the same point would be best, but not=20 sure if the extra wire length to do so would be worse then using the=20 closest chassis grounds. Cheers, -Neil.
