A colleague a good few years ago told a similar story. He was in a workshop=
 and happened to be looking at another guy just as the other guy struck on =
arc with an electric welder. Ended up with very sore eyes, went to doctor. =
Doctor made him go to an STD clinic for a test as the damage from the inten=
se light of the arc strike is very similar to eye conditions that some STDs=
 can give you. Even though the doctor believed his s tory the other possibi=
lity still had to be ruled out on his notes.
