John, I had a suped up RX-3 that was making 500 HP at 11000 RPM. At 55=20 mph I got a consistent 25 MPG. At 70 I got 22 MPG and at 80 I got 18=20 MPG. At the drag races I would get about 2 MPG. It had a 13 gallon tank.=20 On race day it was important that I filled the tank before I got to the=20 raceway. I would use any where from 8 to 10 gallons during the evening.=20 These was in Southern CA. Thanks, rich! P.S. I was on US395 between Reno and Carson when a large gust of wind=20 came down off of the Sierra's. It laid a VW bus and 18 wheeler on their=20 sides. Both vehicles were doing about 55 when this happen. You should=20 have seen the sparks. No, no one was hurt. They were just shook up. Thanks, rich!
