The component has only two pins, and it's a status indicator (really just output, but with one switch to change modes I think). The piezo buzzer thought seems correct. I really want to figure out the protocol that sends it signals now. There's a PIC16F505 on the board, and 4 pins -- power ground and prob in and out. With several status LED's it's possible they're using a serial protocol to send the data.
