I could build what the specification asks for now, using COTS technology components, if they only wanted a few, and cost and size were no object. So could Philips, Osram, Cree, Nichia, Seoul Semi, Avago and a few more. And in due course (1 to 3 years I guesstimate) they will meet spec at commercially acceptable rate. For me the least desirable part of the spec is the CCT (colour temperature) which corresponds to Tungsten incandescent. I'd personally be very happy with a device that met a daylight CCT (5xxx K). CRI (colour rendering index) is intimately tied to tungsten equivalent colour rendition and a daylight source is going to have lower CRI even if it renders daylight colours impeccably.
