I've tried that and a number of variants. It MAY work on later versions - although you'd hope actioj was consistent along the way. A friend with Excel 2013 advises that it has a "name editor". He says I should remove the sheet-name from the name - which I can't do). Whether his name editor allows one to remove the name I know not. I have Office Home & Student 2014 or 2013 on a netbook whose power supply has gone into hiding. When I find the psu I'll try it. Through happenstance I have 3 HP netbooks and the power supply plugs are all different.
