I am involved with a local volunteer group that puts on a Ghost House=20 every Halloween. It is setup in, and around, a historical house in the=20 middle of a shopping center parking lot. We would like to play sounds=20 and music (HiFi not required but nice) throughout, but holes in walls=20 and ceilings for speaker wires is forbidden. So a potential solution=20 would be wireless speakers. The maximum distance from the transmitter=20 to the receiver is about 250 ft (or about 75 meters) with a couple of=20 walls in the way. It would appear that Blue tooth is not a viable solution= .. Cost. The completed system (1 Tx, 4 Rx) should not be more that=20 about $600. Less is MUCH better. I have looked around a bit and found a couple of potential solutions,=20 so your recommendations and experiences are appreciated. MicroPower FM Station: Something like this: http://www.pcs-electronics.com/cyber-micro-1w3w-transmitter-package-p-288.h= tml - Select a clear channel - Place an FM radio and PC speakers where needed. Pros - Flexible and we can have as many receivers as we have power=20 outlets. Cons - Speaker transmitter & receiver Something like this: http://nyrius.com/product/5_8GHz_6_Channel_Wireless_Audio_Video_Sender_NY_G= S3200.eng-10.html - Single transmitter, multiple receivers - Connect standard 8 Ohm speakers Pros - Uses weather proof speakers Cons - Your thoughts and ideas are appreciated. -Phil- --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
