I've had a ten minute look through microwave thrusters on
scholar.google.com constrained to 2013 and later and found enough of
interest to suggest either:

- there isn't a paper on the behaviour, (e.g. search terms
  inadequate), or

- the work that has been done has been misinterpreted by the popular
  media.

The number of papers was pleasing.  There is quite a bit of work being
done in the field.  I look forward to clarity and further papers, and
properly written experimental results.
