Russell did too, which I tried, and it failed. So I made a submission
to their support so we'll see what happens.

As it is, my most-often used lens is half-busted anyway. A common
problem apparently

It will auto-focus only if you deliberately manually focus past the
object, and even then it usually takes a couple of goes for it to work.
A major pain, and the shot supposedly auto-focussed is sometimes
blurred.

Yet to have a look at DIY remedies offered on the web, not until
I have resigned to buying a new lens in case that goes wrong.
