James,
     This almost crossed in the system. I was in the process of=20
answering the email just prior to this one. The crystal just wasn't=20
oscillating. The MicroChip descriptions can be confusing at times. I=20
also just learned that the faster a crystal runs the more drive that it=20
needs. And Joe reminded me that you should have a bypass cap hooked up=20
to the PIC. I hadn't done this.
