Have you looked at Anaren's 1101 series AIR modules. They are very small, a= re=20 available with integrated antenna or U.FL connectors, based on TI CC1101=20 transceiver, has modular approval for both US/Canada and Europe, costs abou= t=20 20$ in singles.
