> Road rules say you must perform a wheel-stop at STOP signs - and also mus= t > look both ways and determine that way is clear. Reminds me of a story about some young bloods in a small town that had a st= op sign at an intersection, which was often used by officers in training do= ing their practical. Young bloods would see said officers standing around corner from stop sign,= and would go up road. Then coming speeding down road, throw out the anchor= s and do four wheels locked through the compulsory stop. Officers would the= n duly pull the car over and claim they hadn't stopped at the compulsory st= op. Said officers were duly told to go and inspect the four black marks on = the road that proved the wheels had stopped turning. I don't recall hearing that they ever then got charged with dangerous drivi= ng. --=20 Scanned by iCritical. --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
