> likely to vary by location and which officer you get stopped by... Unfortunately some officers don't know as much about the law as they (would like you to) think they do. I used to tow a bicycle trailer and carried a copy of the relevant law with me, the law that says I can tow as big a trailer as a car can (legs permitting). Yet I'd still have to debate it, and always most politely, at road checks. Never lost because officers don't want me telling their sergeant they don't know the law well enough, albeit a law they probably need to know infrequently. I don't envy them their job but some officers are quick to stubborness or being bloody-minded and resort to "procedure" Jumping a red light when you're the only vehicle on the road is logic vs legislation. Both right in their own way If I got pinged for it at 1am when I can see no traffic down two major roads, I'd be like "Really ? Aw, come on" > All you need is a metal bucket Er............ :-) Joe --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
