There's still very much a tradition of the number 8, feng shui
and astrology, which is no stranger, although more ingrained
and taken more seriously, than Western "superstitions" and
rituals. You can imagine that a Chinese boss might be as
tough as nails in the boardroom but goes home to a house
with a big red number 8 on it

I remember passing a local Chinese travel agent with a big
poster in the window offering "Worldwidely Deals"

At first the word 'worldwidely' raised an "Aw, foreigners,
bless 'em" smile, but if you can have widely, then why not
worldwidely ?
