That learning curve for git has been one of my most difficult, and it wasn't until a couple of years ago that something clicked and I had to unlearn something I had learned incorrectly or assumed early on. I can't be specific, because I've been successful in unlearning it, but I remember it had something to do with finding myself in a detached head, giving up, and cloning the repository from upstream again. magit made my git much easier. Is anything worth the time to learn? It really depends on how much time you'll shave. http://xkcd.com/1205/ --=20 James Cameron http://quozl.linux.org.au/ --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
