Codeschool.com has a great interactive git tutorial that's free for the
basics. After that, use is probably the best learning tool.

Big caveat from my experience: avoid the github GUI for windows. It
obscures key git concepts by combining the and giving them misleading
names. I installed Cygwin and use git on the Cygwin Bash command line. The
command line that the windows github GUI installs can be a bit slow, so I
avoid that too.
