My oldest extant internet footprint AFAIK. http://files.chatnfiles.com/SPACE_Astronomy_1093/TEXT/SPACEDIG/V16_1/V16NO1= 84.TXT 14 Feb 1993 - 21 years 4 months 2 days more or less. That was significantly before internet access was available publicly here. I was fortunate to happen to have joined a BBS that was operated by a computer consultant who, extremely unusually, had a leased circuit to the Auckland University and an "Internet" feed from there - which he made available to his users. Very rare indeed. Modem speed initially was 300/300 followed by 1200/75 (pros and cons) then 1200/1200 and then a massive 2400/400. All bits per second, of course. I think I never had 2400/2400 as the upgrade did not seem worth the very substantial price. Then 9600, then 14400, then ... Yee ha. 128 kbps. Fantastic!!!
