John, I have been doing this for years. If the system uses PATA it is=20 important that the swap drive is connected to a channel other than the=20 one that the system drive is on. A PATA channel can't multitask. So if=20 both drives are on the same channel one drive must finish what is being=20 done before the system can access the other drivel.
