The composite displays I've seen don't look as 'sharp' as I'd like. I where= as SPI would be grand for static displays, I doubt it would be fast enough = for video clips. Am I wrong? Why do you need an HDMI display? There have been a couple of projects linked to from here using SPI interfac= e 2 or 3 inch displays with a Raspberry Pi. IIRC one of them is a kickstart= er project.
