I had a quick look through the cited QEG page.

Two things stood out:

QEG:

(1)  They made much of having achieved "electromechanical resonance" and
mention piezoelectric as part of this. They noted that input was about
(AFAIR) 1.5 kW but that 25 kVAR was measurable in the system.
They said that they had not tapped power from it yet,  but that  ...

Stage 3 was next on their list and this was where they intended to tap some
"over-unity" [tm] power from the system.


The very important point is that ALL of the above may be true (and the piee
mention may be irrelevant regardless of whether true) BUT none of it
demonstrates that excess power has been generated.

VARs =3D Volt-Amps reactive and is the product of AC voltage present in a
system and AC current (sorry) present in a system when the two are not in
phase. In a purely reactive system with sinusoidal waveforms, V & I are 90
degrees out of phase and no power is generated or dissipated. You can have
immensely high VARs as a percentage of total V and I in a system and be
transferring minimal power. The current is still real current -  so it it
passes through eg resistiove feeders it will still cause I^2R power
dissipation so conductors still have to be dimensioned to carry it. This is
why low power factor loads such as highly inductive induction motor loads
are required to have capacitors added at the customer premises to being the
power factor clkoser to unity so that Watts and not VARs are the majhor
part of the system "load".

The relevance to QEG is that in a high Q resonant system they could easily
be producing massive voltages  and currents so that VARs >> input Watts,
and no 'laws of Physics' would have been broken AND minimal power could be
extracted without de_qing the system and reducing the VArs. In a
conventional system all this could happen and less power output would be
available than was input.

So far so normal.

(2) Somewhere in the midst after the VARs description they mentioned that
the energy source was energy from the surroundings which is always present
and which flowed into the machine due to its design. So, they are not
claiming an over unity machine per se but an energy transfer device that
modes available energy from "somewhere else" and makes it available.

Given the amount said about resonance and VARs present in the system I'd
have hoped for more on the nature of the true energy source and how it is
tapped.

Until a clear description of this is given - or a statement is made that
its beyond comprehension and 'just happens ' when you do xxx, all the
materiala about resonance and kVARs tends to just confuse.

I try hard to not say that such things are impossible, taking due note of
Hamlet's advice to Horatio, but I really really really don't pect this
system or anything like it to produce useful results. If it every did I'd
be uproariously delighted for everyone's sake. But I suspect that I at
least can find more justifiable and maybe even useful tasks to spend my
time on.
