And not because of them. Not even because of the other people doing similarly at present. Long and much thought about. Substantially bigger. LESS power. MUCH lower cost. If you can feel the wind on your face it's making power. Very very very little power at that level. But some. Another is a solar light core that really works. Superb efficiency of ratio (energy to load : panel wattage). Superb LED efficiencies. Can use a range of battery chemistries - but LiFePO4 preferred. Modular. Vast library of capabilities. Wide range of powers can be handled. Core can have batteries, LEDs, PV panels added to suit. [SOME manufacturers are beginning to get things right enough that this may not be needed.] Sampler aimed at having 5 year set and forget lifetime minimum in any environment that makes sense. (eg extreme lattitudes don't make much sense and operation at base-camp is OK but not a great aim. (One light I wrote a blurb for said operating range was Asphaltitas to Base camp). 10 years is in fact doable with great care. Or ...
