In my early years, a Looong time ago, we lived in a very rural area in=20 central Florida. Not even electricity. Since the kitchen stove and oven=20 used kerosene it was handy fill the jar lids under the table with=20 kerosene. It worked fine. Some people find the smell of kerosene offensive but I always associate=20 Mom's Yellow Cake with it. BTW, the Florida Wildcats calling at night really bothered my parents.=20 They were not at all annoying to me!
