If you are new to Windows 8.1 you will find that many older programs have t=
o
be run in "Compatibility Mode." Try this: Right click the shortcut, click
"Compatibility" then check "Run as Administrator." I haven't tried MPLAB ye=
t
but this works on most of my "old" stuff.
