> MOST serious problem is the lack of brownout detector in the 10-series.=20 > They just don't reliably start up. I used the BOR in a PIC10LF320 together with the CLC. This was to monitor voltage from a PV cell and do a long delay when input=20 voltage was above BOR voltage before power was let through to the actual=20 circuit. During this time only a rechargable battery was being charged so t= here=20 would be enough charge to reliably start and run the rest of the circuit.=20 Without this long delay the circuit would start working directly but there = was=20 not enough charge in the batteries and the current from the PV cells wasn't= =20 enough so it just kept oscillating. The long time (5 minutes I think, but could be programmed to as long as I w= ant)=20 was done with sleep and WDT. After that, the PIC went to sleep and only the= CLC=20 part was operating. The CLC was then a simple OR circuit with two inputs us= ed=20 to shut down the circuit from two different sources. /Ruben --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
