Microchip have several variations of it, some CLC chips also have an oscill= ator unit, and there is another variant I don't remember. To the OP, Microchip have several application notes and technical bulletins= where they have bread boarded some uses. IIRC one of them is a Manchester = Encoder (don't think there is enough capability available to do a decoder).
