I was trying to explain and compare the Micromite to kids used
to the PICAXE, and it and the more fully-featured Maximite are
certainly reminiscent of the early 80s flood of small computers like
the VIC-20, C64, BBC Micro, Acorn, Spectrum etc

The original project does have screen output (256 colours and
sprites would be nice. And a SID chip)

It's a very useful tool, both for electronics and language logic, and
will get one or two thinking if it can get into the classroom, but it
won't have quite the same impact, as there were no Samsungs,
Nokias, i-whatevers, or Vodaphones 30 years ago

Still, if some d*** figures out how to access Twitter with it ........
