I just want to add my comment that I agree with Sergio (smplx) that it would make more sense for the C standard to handle this comparison properly, in the sense of the usual mathematical sense of "greater than" and "less than". I say this acknowledging that it is not the compiler's fault but rather the C language, and I also say this as a person who loves the C language and has used it for years.
