To get the codes, just use a IR detector such as the TSOP4138, hook up an = logic analyzer (and power, if its not obvious) and you can read out the cod= es that are being transmitted. If I recall, it's the device ID first and t= hen the command. -----Original Message----- From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu] On Behalf Of= Gary Neal Sent: Sunday, May 04, 2014 6:13 AM To: 'Microcontroller discussion list - Public.' Subject: [EE]: IR TV Remote codes I have a TV and cable company remote that don't play nice together.=A0 The = cable company remote (Comcast, XR2 remote) will not control the TV's power = or volume, no matter what "codes" I program the remote with (I tried ~30 di= fferent "suggested" codes).=A0 This is apparently a common problem with thi= s TV (RCA L32HD31R manufactured by TTE Technology) as there are several web= sites documenting the same problem but with no solutions that I could find. So, is there a way to "steal" the code from the RCA TV's working remote (so= me sort of IR sensor?) such that I could then program the Comcast remote wi= th the correct code? This is one of those minor annoyances in life that is probably not worth th= e effort, but darn it, I hate losing!
