What seems to be missing from the discussion is that there will be a=20 bell curve - extremely low temps will kill drives and extremely high=20 temps will kill drives. Thus, there is some temp between those two that a particular brand and=20 model of drive will last the longest. No one has indicated what temp=20 that is for which brands and models. It may well be above room temp for=20 some but others will prefer lower temps.
