Problem solved. * Set the AC thermostat to minimum temperature so that it's always actively cooling. * Then put a humidifier in front of it for a few days. * Spray the intake with copious amounts of Vim cleaning fluid (had nothing else on hand) periodically over the course of a couple of days. Then I turned the thermostat back up to 24 and the foul smell seems to have gone away. It was most likely a fungal or bacterial growth that got flushed out with the help of a lot of water and Vim cleaning fluid. --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
