Costs to consider on top of the "shipped price" from the US=20 vendor if using such a service form the UK (I imagine the rest of the EU=20 will be pretty similar) will likely include. The forwarders fee, $10 in the case of the one you linked. The forwarders delivery charge VAT and possiblly customs duty, depends on the value of the shipment and=20 what customs codes are used. Note that officially speaking customs value=20 is supposed to be the full price including any delivery charges,=20 handling charges etc. Handling fee for collecting the duty/VAT (=A310 or so in my experiance but= =20 i've heard of people being charged much more) Note that in most cases the latter two will have to be paid to the=20 shipping company directly. Policies on how they collect them vary, in=20 the UK UPS insist on COD and are very very reluctant to take any other=20 form of payment. The post office hold your package at the depo until=20 you pay, fedex deliver first and drop off the invoice later. --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
