I think it is necessary to make provision for less than optimal
conditions, such as long periods of rainy and cloudy weather, winter, etc.
So, having collecting capacity exceeding storage capacity is not unwise.
Also, it is prudent to have a larger storage capacity than the everyday
needs, to support an unexpected increase in consumption.

Ideally, he should be able to sell the excess production, then it all
would revert as extra income.
