Correct, it has a surface mount PIC24 that functions as a Pickit programmer=
 to program and debug the end use chip, and uses USB to talk to the host PC=
 that is running MPLABX. You can't use it to do an application USB interfac=
e though, just as you can't use a Pickit for application USB interface.
