I'm at the "Hotel California" stage. I probably can't leave, but I'm trying with exponentially increasing acceleration. I hope. I used to measure 'stuff' I got rid of by the cubic metre. Now I measure it by the tonne (aka ton to some). May be 100's of kg. Just back from India. (Photos commentary more "soon". Minimal on trip and mainly family directed). Seeing "how the other 1/2 lives" was an eye opener, notwithstanding any amount of prior input. If I can maintain the sense of amazement, wonder, horror, anger, fury, sorrow, resolve, inadequacy ... all rolled together, it may just help the tonnage reduction continue as it must. I have only so much life left. Probably somewhere between about 0.00274 and 56.75 years ( 1 to 20444 days). Even the abs max 20,000 odd days is not that log. <=3D 10 years if strong family medical history prevails (there are reasons why it may not). <=3D 20-30 years by most likelihoods. < 37 years by almost any likelihood. Yeah, right. > I always blamed it on not having enough room to start with. 5 or so years ago I moved into a reasonable approximation of "enough space"= .. About 1800 sq foot of house with full basement under plus perhaps 300-400 sq foot covered garage / carport. All lower level is "mine". Too much of upper level is also consumed by me. I'll not mention the very largely consumed 150 ft^2 of conservatory space. I'm working on paring all that back mightily. TBD. India may help. Russell Desks? It's hard to know where a desk ends and a workbench or storage area takes over. 3 or 4 desks. 7 or 8 or ... flattish horizontalish surfaces that might be called a desk or a workbench or a ... at various times. I recently found, to my happy surprise, that I have two (at least) "Osborne One" 's, rather than just the one that I thought I had. Still trying to recover the memory of how I got the 2nd one. --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
