That movie "12 angry men" with Henry Fonda's character; he was accused of
wasting a lot of others 11 goodwill over some cheap boy from a slum. From
what I remember, 11th juror, a former European watchmaker said at some
point that's about democracy, about the strength of the society, the
ability of it to talk on the problem; poor naive little emigrant from EU :-=
)

Regarding the trademark, I am not a lawyer, still I don't see the problem
at all. I remember there was a great song "I lost my yellow basket" recorde=
d
by the Queen of Jazz Ella Fitzgerald long before the date of the trademark.
Thus, practice to paint an object for sell yellow sided was common.
Therefore a trademark of yellow sided pattern for any sub-class of object
is nothing more than just negligible. That's about democracy, folks, not
about some cheap imported meters :-)
