Good day to all. I don't normally have to do this, but now I'm needing to create front=20 and rear drawings for a proposed project. This is a 1-RU rack panel=20 that has a bunch of buttons, a rotary encoder and a 2-line character=20 LCD display on the front. The rear contains a bunch of Phoenix=20 pluggable 3-pin connectors, an IEC power connector, and sundry other=20 items (access hoes for trimpots, etc. Although I don't normally do mechanical CAD, I do have a passing=20 familiarity with CorelDraw and Corel Technical Designer. My most=20 current versions of these is X5 and I can usually fumble my way to=20 get what I need. I'm dreading the process of creating the symbols that I need for this=20 project and am hoping that someone can point me to a resource where=20 someone else has already created them. I don't normally have to do this - we normally get the project, I and=20 my shop build the project, then we take pictures of the finished=20 project. But not this time. I guess that this will be a good excuse to become more competent with=20 CorelDraw and/or Corel Technical Designer . I prefer to use CorelDraw or Designer because that is what all the=20 other people in my shop use - that's how we do all of our field=20 documentation for projects. Any my partner is *darned* good with the=20 Corel software - but he's busy with other stuff. The other reason I want to do this with Corel is that I banged myself=20 up pretty badly on Dec 30 while setting up for New Years Eve Pyro and=20 Fireworks shows and I currently have limited use of my right arm. I=20 can go into detail if anyone is interested . Doing drawings by=20 hand ranges from painful to impossible - but I can use a mouse and keyboard= .. Any pointers as to where I might go to find electronic symbols and=20 footprints for the Corel software is greatly appreciated.
