My experience has been that good connectors are indeed one of the most expensive items. As you mention, pigtailing the product then using available wire to wire connectors instead of some type of board to wire or panel to wire is a common option (mid 70's voltage regulators on Ford's come to mind) http://laddinc.com/home.html has some other options. specifically http://laddinc.com/our-products/online-catalog/itemlist/category/4936-eec%2= 0accessories.htmlthey're IP rated boxes meant to interface with their right-angle pcb sealed connectors for automotive use. I suspect other manufacturers will have something similar, but these are the ones I know about. FWIW, I came across the company about 10 years ago when I needed to mate to a product that used one of these box & connector sets. It was a one-off and after talking to a rep they sent me a care package with connectors/pins/seals/ and a crimp tool - not bad guys to deal with. -Denny --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
