This feature also requires the use of the LIN protocol which is designed fo=
r autobaud detection, so you are constrained to having the first character =
sent as either all 0s or all 1s (I can't remember which), and the baud rate=
 generator determines the width of that and then sets itself to the appropr=
iate value before the next start bit arrives.
