You can *try* this link and it might not put you through all the hoops. You'll need to expand what component you want (Visual C++ 2010 Express)=20 and the "install now" link will downlod an executable vc_web.exe. What=20 that executable atually does is unknown to me as I'm on a Linux ox right=20 now. Looks like a web based installer name, but the vc is a clue that=20 it's just the C++, not the entire studio.
