Actually, 1.5mA is about the expected average LED current with that=20
combination (1K5 + 330nF).

Try more like 2.2uF and 470 ohms for about 15mA average (resistor=20
dissipates less than 200mW)

Or just replace the cap with a series diode and use 1K 1/2W for the resisto=
r.
